Villa Josephine

Expedition Site 10, Expedition 12, July 2009, Belgium

A massive site which required lots of planning in advance... yet we did it!!!!

The villa belongs to a very large and wealthy family, some members now own the place but none of them wants to live there due family affairs and the dramatic sad history that happend here. The father commited suicide becouse he was ill from cancer, he had a brain tumor they could not cure. It's always sad to see locations like this rotting away especialy when it's loaded with antique and other worthy items like this one. The owner must have loved to collect stuff, there where news papers wrapped and sealed with dates on it all sorted out from 1900 and beyond. Paperwork and books, holy paintings with beautiful frames, some already gone... taken over by mould and muschrooms...

I had seen this place when driving past it, but never imagined that it would be an urbex place until I linked the front door to a picture I saw from this place. I took my camera along to go check it out. It's an old villa, but many things are left untouched. The whole place reeks of history and I took some pics while feasting my eyes...
A very nice site where one could wander for hours... Here are some pics I took worth while posting...
